The MPT series is an upgraded model of the SMW series turbo mill. Like the SMW series, it is mainly used for grinding PVC pipes, profiles and sheets. It is commonly paired with a granulator; when equipped with a shredder, they form a three-stage highly automated recycling system for shredding, crushing and grinding. In terms of energy consumption per kilogram of finished powder, this pulverizer features high efficiency and excellent performance.
The MPT series high-speed PVC pulverizer belongs to the turbo mill family, featuring a cutter diameter ranging from 500 mm to 800 mm. Material to be ground is drawn into the grinding chamber through the center of the vertical stationary cutter. Between the stationary and rotary cutters, the material is thrown to the outer edge by centrifugal force generated from the high-speed rotation of the movable cutter. The finished powder is conveyed from the grinding chamber via fan and cyclone system for collection.
MPT series turbo-type pulverizing systems are mainly applied for PVC powder processing to supply PVC powder to production lines. Vibrating screens are generally equipped to guarantee precise powder fineness for plastic product manufacturing, which ensures molded parts have smooth surfaces and consistent thickness. For other application scenarios, the machine is often used together with shredders and crushers to efficiently recycle waste and scraps from plastic production lines.
