MST Series Double Shaft Shredder

The Double Shaft Shredder is an industrial low-speed, high-torque shredder. Designed with a dual-shearing structure, this machine comes without a screen assembly. Once materials are fed into the hopper, they are processed by a pair of counter-rotating cutting blades and discharged directly. While the output particle size is non-uniform, the Double Shaft Shredder delivers faster shredding speed and higher throughput compared with other shredder types.

Rotor & Drive Train

Rotors 

The rotors adopt “V”-arranged cutter blades to deliver uniform shredding force. Blades are manufactured from premium CrMoV alloy steel. Alternative blade materials and configurations are available to match your specific application requirements. Double side walls are constructed from wear-resistant steel plates, offering outstanding abrasion resistance and long service life.

The machine is equipped with two intermeshed counter-rotating shafts fitted with hooked sharp-edge cutter discs. Each hook grabs and pulls feed materials as the two shafts rotate in opposite directions. Materials are forcefully torn and shredded by the talons of cutter discs. The specially engineered rotor ensures exceptional wear resistance.

Drive Train 

Motor drive and hydraulic drive options are offered to satisfy diverse application scenarios. Hydraulic feed ram: Most standard double shaft shredders do not come with a hydraulic feed ram. HUIBANG can supply an optional hydraulic processing ram for special material handling, helping customers boost production throughput.

This is a low-speed, high-torque waste shredder with dual shafts and hardened steel cutters.

The two cutting rotors aggressively grab incoming materials. Whether handling large rigid plastic blocks or heavy waste tires, the machine can easily reduce them into small pieces.

The Double Shaft Shredder processes a broad range of materials. Equipped with a powerful drive unit, extended working length and aggressive feeding design, it features larger internal feeding volume than conventional single shaft shredders and supports forklift feeding.

Heavy-duty construction: The shredder frame and main structure are fabricated from thick steel sheets and tubular profiles. High-quality steel blades are suitable for shredding tough materials and guarantee extended service life.

Cutter discs (blades) are available in various quantities, grades and shapes upon request.

The PLC controller detects overload triggered by foreign objects. It automatically stops and reverses shaft rotation to clear blockages before resuming normal operation.

Cutters can be removed and replaced safely and conveniently.

Our shredders adopt planetary reducers instead of traditional gearboxes. Planetary gearboxes bring multiple advantages: high efficiency, superior stability, compact footprint, high torque density, cost-effective precision and strong radial load capacity.

An optional cooling system maintains stable operating temperature for continuous non-stop production.
